Content for photo art book 'Circesque' by photographer Christian Tagliavini

Christian Tagliavini is an award-winning Swiss/Italian photographer based in Switzerland. Renowned for his conceptual environmental fine-art fashion portraits, he has a highly artistic and much sought-after style.

Throughout the project, I worked with Studio Director, Paola Bergamaschi. Looking for a native-English-speaking copywriter with a photography background, she thought I'd be a perfect fit for their book project.

The Brief: The project involved writing several sections of content from scratch plus a small amount of copy-editing of existing text for his new photo art book Circesque - a celebration of the world of the Circus, its art, and performers.

For the new content, it meant putting into words Christian's thoughts and ideas about his pictures, as well as what went into creating the amazingly styled models and sets featured in the book. The added challenge came with fitting this copy within the limited space available for text within the book's overall design layout.

In some instances, this meant I was writing so that I didn't exceed the maximum number of characters available in a particular line of text.

"Andrew ... your work has been invaluable to us"
